3D Printed Textiles
A module that focuses on the world
of 3D Printed Fabrics. You will learn how to:
print textiles using the infill method
design custom textile pattern
create dual-colour swatches
design 3D Printed lace
The goal is to fill and organize a swatch book for your future 3D Printed Fashion projects.
SubliPrinting
In this module you will focuses on Brigitte Kock's wonderful 3D Printing technique that allow us to 3D print fabrics in full colours. The module covers how to:
print colourful subliprints
generate textile patterns with FireFly AI
design 3D subliprints
At the end of this module, you will extend your swatchbook and understand well the sublimation technique.
Hand 3D Printing
Learn how to use the most relaxing 3D Printing technique – Hand 3D Printing. This method enables students to create hand 3D Printed Fashion pieces using a 3D pen.
This module covers:
hand 3D Printing on flat surfaces
hand 3D Printing on 3D objects (mannequine, shoes or a purse)
hand 3D Printing on textile
The goal of this module is to end up with a nice Hand 3D Printed project.
Modular Fashion
A chapter dedicated to different methods to create a modular pieces for 3D printed fashion projects. A technique that let's you create more sustainable fashion.
This module covers:
interlocking systems
patterns for modular fashion
design of custom interlocks & closures
The hat can be easily taken apart, assembled into a different piece of garment and much easier to fix if broken.
Assembling
In this module you will explore, how to assemble 3D Printed Fashion without a sewing machine.
You will learn how to:
design patterns for 3D printed fashion
assemble pieces with 3D pen
assemble pieces with iron solder
Project Ideation
This module explores different application of creative softwares and tools to help students with their creative exposures.
We will learn how to:
use AI for creative process
design moodboards
use ideation process for 3D Printed Fashion projects
Project Planning
In this chapter, we explore how to help students embrace tactics to successfully bring their ideas to life in a timely matter. You will learn how to:
breake the process into managable pieces
use the PACE framework
